Botox and botox serum
Botulinum toxin temporarily reduces the contraction of the muscles of facial expression, so the lines those movements create smooth out. The point is not how much is injected but where, and how little — the aim is that the expression remains and only the lines soften.
- Forehead, frown lines and crow's feet
- Visible after 5 to 10 days
- Lasts 4 to 6 months
- Review appointment after two weeks

Where it is used
Horizontal forehead lines, the vertical lines between the brows, and lines at the outer corner of the eye. Less often but equally effectively: lifting the outer brow, relaxing the chin muscle, and lines above the upper lip.
The appointment
Fifteen to twenty minutes. A very fine needle is used, so discomfort is minimal and anaesthetic is not usually needed. You can carry on with your day afterwards — provided you stay upright for four hours, do not massage the area, and avoid saunas and intense exercise.
The result begins to show on the third day and is complete after ten to fourteen days. That is why the review is booked at two weeks, when any adjustment is made.
Frequently asked questions
Will I look frozen?
Not if it is dosed moderately. A frozen look comes from too much product or the wrong injection points, not from the treatment itself. We work conservatively and would rather add at the two-week review than overdo it at the start — excess cannot be undone, only waited out.
How long does it last?
Four to six months for most people. Sometimes shorter after the first treatment, and often longer with repeated treatments as the muscle weakens.
What is botox serum?
A diluted preparation applied superficially into the upper layer of the skin rather than into muscle. It does not relax expression — it works on skin quality, pores and fine surface lines.
Who should not have this?
Anyone pregnant or breastfeeding, people with neuromuscular conditions, and anyone who has previously reacted to the preparation. We go through all of this in the medical history before treatment.
