Hyaluronic acid fillers
Hyaluronic acid is a substance the skin produces naturally and loses with age. Filler returns it where it has gone — into the cheekbones, the lips, around the mouth or the under-eye area. The result is visible immediately, and the product breaks down on its own over time.

The usual areas
Lips — hydration and a gentle definition of the border, keeping the natural proportion between upper and lower lip.
Cheekbones — lifting the middle third of the face. Often a better answer to a tired appearance than working directly under the eyes.
Tear troughs — filling the hollow beneath the eye. A delicate area that needs precise work and an honest assessment, since dark circles are not always a question of volume.
Nasolabial folds and marionette lines — softening the crease from nose to mouth corner.
Before and after
For a week beforehand, avoid aspirin, fish oil and alcohol, all of which increase bruising. For twenty-four hours afterwards, no saunas, sunbeds or intense exercise, and no massaging the area unless we specifically tell you to.
Frequently asked questions
Will people be able to tell I had my lips done?
Not necessarily. It shows when too much is placed in one session. We work in stages — a smaller amount, then a review after two weeks. More can always be added; removing is more involved, though possible.
Does it hurt?
Most preparations contain a local anaesthetic, and we apply a numbing gel beforehand. The lips are the most sensitive area and the most uncomfortable, but briefly.
How long is the recovery?
Swelling for two to three days is normal, and up to five days for lips. A bruise can appear at an injection point. So do not plan treatment right before an important event — leave at least two weeks.
What if I do not like the result?
Hyaluronic fillers can be dissolved with hyaluronidase, usually in a single appointment. That is an important safety difference from permanent fillers, which is exactly why we do not use those.
